We love our food here at the Rusland Pool and know that you will too. Our menus have been created to showcase the best local in season produce sourced from trusted suppliers throughout the South Lakes and surrounding areas. Our dishes are both hearty and wholesome, and beautifully executed by Rachel Pound and her team
The aroma of freshly prepared home cooking will fill the air and tempt you with everything from a hearty Cumbrian breakfast, through to delicious Sunday roasts, mouthwatering chef specials and all the usual favourite fayre. We are committed to serving freshly prepared food, made on the premises, from the best locally sourced ingredients.

Naturally, we always have a ready supply of the finest Cask Ales for you to sample, and Guest Ales from local breweries as well as a wide selection of lagers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
A RELAXED APPROACH TO DINING
Dining at the Rusland Pool is a really relaxed affair - we simply want you to enjoy great food and drinks in truly laid back surroundings,either in our informal oak beamed restaurant and Conservatory, or relaxing in the low beamed Saddle Bar with a real log fire. Or on warmer days, dine al fresco on the patio.
Where possible we will endeavour to meet your dietary requirements. All our food is freshly prepared, simply tell us your requirements and chef will be happy to prepare you a suitable meal.
We can provide gluten free meals, we can cater for diabetics, vegetarians, and for the calorie conscious diner we have a Healthy Options menu available .
Our children's menu is listed below, or choose anything off the main menu in a small portion. We are more than happy to meet your dietary requirements as all our food is freshly prepared to order.

A bit about our suppliers: Here is a selection of our Fresh produce suppliers, locally sourced, ensuring our commitment to the growth of local businesses.
Cumbrian Fellbred - Based in Milnthorpe, Cumbria. Cumbrian Fellbred is a local catering butcher that supplies our Restaurant with much of our fresh Cumbrian Farm meat
Peter Hutchinson - based just up the road in Greenodd also supplies a wide range of fresh meat and poultry.
C&G Neve Wholesale Fish - Based in Fleetwood, Neve supply our fresh fish and Seafood, sourced responsibly. Line caught Tuna, cod haddock and Sea bass, rope grown mussels, dived scallops as well as day catches from boats delivering to local depots.
Inshore Fisheries, in Kendal, also supply some of our fresh fish.
Cartmel Cheeses have been carefully selected as we believe they represent the best of what is available, and guarantee an uncompromising approach to quality.
Brocklebanks & Son, Dalton-in Furness and Hargans, Flookborough supply our fruit and vegetables, and deliver on a daily basis to ensure absolute freshness.
